Where To Buy Stamps In San Francisco

It’s always good to have stamps on hand at all times. You don’t know when you’ll need to send a letter, a postcard, an invitation, or even pay a pill.

We created a guide for you with all the places where you can buy stamps in San Francisco, CA:

United States Postal Service (USPS)

There are 40 Post Offices in San Francisco. The Post Office is the most obvious place to buy stamps, of course. The best thing about it is that you can buy a single stamp; you don’t need to buy for rolls or packages.

They also have Self-Service Kiosks that can be found in their lobbies and big malls. The Kiosks offer simple services, including buying stamps. You can buy the stamps online from their website, as well.

The UPS Store

The UPS store provides you with the same products and services like the Post office. Yes, they do sell postage stamps, but they’re more expensive than the ones sold at the Post Office.

To find the nearest UPS store, just click on the “Find a Store” page on their website.

PO Plus

PO Plus provides all the services you need, from packing and shipping to business services. They know how to treat their customers, and they’ll value your time and money.

Stamps are available in their store. If you need a larger quantity of stamps or a unique commemorative stamp, you have the option to inform them with a call or a message so that they can prepare your order.

UnionPostSF

UnionPostSF also offers the same services as PO Plus. The staff is friendly, and it’s rare to stand in a line there.

Walmart and Target

Walmart and Target sell postage stamps, but not in singles. They sell the stamps in 20-stamp booklets or in rolls.

The stamps in Walmart and Target are sold at the customer service desk or the money center at the same price as the Post Office.

Keep in mind that stamps aren’t available in all Target stores. It’s good to check the online website for the Target available near you before heading there.

Currently, Walmart is banned from San Francisco, but deliveries to San Francisco are available. The closest Walmart to the city is the one in the East Bay in San Leandro.

Supermarkets and Grocery Stores

Grocery stores and supermarkets sell stamps at their customer service desks. However, not all of them do. Here’s a list of some stores that sells stamps:

Other Places

You can buy stamps at gas stations like 7-Eleven, Circle K, and QuikTrip. They’re also available in some banks, like Wells Fargo, in their branches and ATMs.

Other stores like Staples, Officemax, Cole Hardware, and Office Depot also sell stamps.

Final Thoughts

Due to the coronavirus crisis, it’s best to abide by social distancing and shop online. Most of the above places provide online services. You can also find stamps on Amazon and eBay.

If you like to buy stamps in bulk, then eBay is your best option. But, if you only need a single stamp, then your local post office is your best choice. Your local pharmacy or gas station might be willing to sell you a single stamp as well.
