You must report an absence due to sickness (or anything else) ideally three hours in advance of your shift.
However, if you have suddenly fallen sick shortly before your shift then try to call within one hour of your shift starting to avoid receiving points.

- Enter your DOB (mm/dd/yyyy).
- Enter your store number.
- Explain the reason you are calling in sick.
- You will be given an automated confirmation number, write this down.
- You will be transferred to a manager at your store to explain your sickness.
Who To Report Absences To?
Walmart store managers are responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient personnel on the ground on any given day in the store, so they need to know about any absences.

What About Long Term Sickness?
If you suffer from a long-term health condition you can use intermittent leave.
Intermittent leave allows you to specify the frequency and duration of any expected absences, this includes how often you are likely to be away from work and the expected length of each absence.
For each period of intermittent leave you must make sure you report the leave via the Sedgwick platform as well as directly to your manager.
You must report an absence to Sedgwick for any intermittent leave within two calendar days of the absence, if you fail to do this the absence will be denied by Sedgwick and you may receive points.
Does Walmart Do Sick Pay?
